Lake Erie Clambake on the Beach is a Huge Success; Event Helps Raise Funds for CSA and its Mission

On Sunday, October 6, 2019, more than 100 guests gathered on the shores of Lake Erie and enjoyed a wonderful event in support of Community Service Alliance and its mission to provide housing, job assistance, and personal, behavioral and spiritual support to men transitioning from poverty, homelessness and addiction to independence and self-sufficiency.

CSA’s 6th Annual Lake Erie Clambake on the Beach was another wonderful success! We enjoyed a relaxing fall afternoon on the beach, taking in a beautiful Lake Erie sunset, and enjoying some of the best clams around. The event was held again this year at the private – and beautiful – Clifton Beach House in Lakewood, Ohio, and included a full clambake catered by Lobster Brothers, drinks, music, a 50/50 raffle, and a great silent auction. Music for the evening was beautifully provided by Roi Aldric Trawon, a student with the Cleveland Institute of Music. And our bartender, Max – an alumnus of CSA – braved the weather to make sure everyone enjoyed drinks all afternoon!

The event raised more than $11,000 for CSA, which directly benefits the mission of the organization.

CSA would like to thank the generous corporations and individuals who helped support the event through their sponsorships, including: our Presenting Sponsor, Community West Foundation; Food Sponsors, Rowland Connelly Joyce & Associates and Werner G. Smith, Inc.; Music Sponsor, Shaia’s Parking; Libations Sponsors, Tour of Good Cheer and Waverly Partners, LLC; and our Beach Sponsors, Bay Presbyterian Church, Dave’s Supermarkets, Charles & Chandra Dull, McDonald Hopkins LLC, Mileage Design, LLC, and Puritas Nursery & Garden Center. Our special friends from the Martha Devotion Huntington Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution sold handcrafted jewelry to support CSA, and our host for the event was Mr. Lenny Weiss who graciously arranged for use of the private, exclusive Beach House.

The evening was a very special one, and we are grateful to everyone who attended and helped make our 6th Annual Lake Erie Clambake on the Beach another spectacular event!
