33rd Annual Homeless Stand Down

Join us for the 33rd Annual Homeless Stand Down, taking place on Saturday, April 20th, at the iconic Cleveland Public Auditorium. Organized by BVU, this impactful event brings together a coalition of local nonprofits and hundreds of dedicated volunteers to offer vital support and solidarity to individuals facing homelessness in our community.

Originating from a military term, “Stand Down” represents a safe haven where soldiers found rest and care amidst the chaos of battle. Today, the Homeless Stand Down serves as a modern-day sanctuary, providing essential goods and services to those in need, including many veterans who have served our country.

At this one-day event, guests will have access to a wide range of resources, from social service providers and medical screenings to haircuts, professional portraits, hot meals, and personal hygiene kits. Last year alone, over 750 individuals found relief and assistance at our Stand Down, thanks to the generosity and dedication of our volunteers and partners.
