CSA to Open Fourth Housing Site; Bill’s House will Serve Homeless Veterans

This fall, more Veterans struggling with poverty, homelessness and addiction will have an additional resource for help when CSA opens its fourth housing site – and it’s second for Veterans – with Bill’s House.

As CSA continued to assess the impact of our program and the ongoing community need for our services, the agency worked in conjunction with the Nehemiah Collaborative, a faith-inspired effort to address housing on Cleveland's west side, to plan for our fourth housing site.  The Nehemiah Collaborative is a partnership of CSA, Building Hope in the City, Family Ministry Center and Scranton Road Community Development Corporation which seeks to restore homes as a unique tool for personal, community, economic, and Kingdom restoration. CSA’s newest site is located on Trowbridge Avenue, just a few homes from where Fulton House and Sandy’s House are currently located.  The previously abandoned two-family home was secured by Nehemiah Collaborative through a partnership with the Cuyahoga Land Bank.

The site has been transformed and is near ready for occupancy.  The newest location will provide supportive housing for eight Veterans struggling with homelessness, poverty and addiction.

CSA is proud to dedicate its newest home in honor of Mr. William (Bill) Dillingham, a founding Board member of CSA, our current Board President, and a U.S. Army Veteran.

Bill is currently the President of Buckeye Business Products, Kroy, and Smith-Corona.  An alumnus of Ohio University, Bill is currently an adjunct faculty member at OU, serves on the Executive Advisory Board of the OU School of Business, and is a Board member of the OU Athletic Department.

Bill has been a member of the CSA Board of Directors since the organization began in 2005.  He became Board President in 2010, and has been an integral part of the growth of the agency from one house to now four houses.  His business acumen, resourcefulness, and passion for the mission and the men we serve have helped CSA become what it is today. Bill is also a member of the Board of Directors of Edna House for Women and the Nehemiah Collaborative.
