Celebrating James Johnson’s Years of Service

James Johnson

“Thank you, thank you, thank you to CSA for the opportunity to work for a great organization and to be a part of the transformation and growth in over 3,600 men’s lives. It has been an honor and a privilege. May CSA continue to be a major part of our community. God Bless you all!”

Peace,
James Johnson

What can we say about James Johnson? Many words come to mind: grace, wisdom, humility, compassion, and love. We could discuss the profound impact he has had on the lives of over 3,600 men. We could highlight the countless ways he went above and beyond his job description—providing extra support, personally taking individuals to doctor’s appointments, helping them get IDs, encouraging residents to attend AA meetings and even attending with them when needed, or giving up personal weekends to participate in agency or community events.

Or, we could simply reflect on James’s own words. At a recent “see ya’ later” event for our residents and alumni, more than 60 men attended and expressed their deep appreciation and respect for James. Every one of them ended with, “I love you, man.” James’s response, as always, was, “I love you more.”

Well, WE ALL love you, James. Best wishes in your retirement and whatever the next chapter of life holds for you!

And we’ll leave you all with this:

“Do not be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends.” ~ Richard Bach
